Excerpt:
I watched his throat work down the last sip. "Sorry," I said, suddenly wanting to take back my unburdening his soul challenge. It was way too intimate between us already. "I didn't mean to snap at you. I just don't get it. You're right. I mean, I get what you're feeling  I just... surely you must have friends you can talk to, people who are in the same boat as you?"

-DELETED SCENE (SCROLL DOWN)

At first I expected the typical love at first sight type of thing. But no, this story talks about meeting someone, knowing someone, and falling for someone. All the while struggling with their own pasts and problems and not to mention, struggling to keep away from each other. But love, as stubborn as it always is, pushes them together after days of yearning looks and whispered wants.

Sorry trying not to sound melodramatic but i can't help it!

Keri Ann lives in a small town and Jack is literally America's latest heartthrob. They meet one night, and for some random reason, Jack chooses to trust Keri Ann and asks her for help while he hides from the paparazzi. (Who is trying to find him because of the scandal his "girlfriend" actress has created.) Attraction is subtle at first between them, but slowly their need and want for each other grows stronger. But as stubborn as both of them are, they try to stay away from each other and they try to deny it. Both of them are trying to be realistic and believe that it won't work out. Jack with the fact that he may have to leave and never see Keri Ann again, and Keri Ann with the fear that her heart is going to get broken by America's playboy heartthrob. But as each conversation grows deeper, they learn so much more about each other which then feeds to their sparks. One night everything changes and one day it all crashes and burns. But will they pull through it?

I had expected a cheesy love story where the famous star falls for the small town girl and everything ends up perfect. But this story weaves through the truths of being a star and for someone who is falling for one. One thing I like for sure is the fact that a lot of problems and doubts in this story is realistic and not there just to create drama. The fact that took them almost 3/4 of the book to get together shows that. If you're thinking, oh bore, they just step around each other the whole time? Well, it's not exactly like that either, but Natasha Boyd shows us all sides of her characters and gives us exactly what we want and need to know. The characters are amazingly written, their are depths to them. I finished this book in one sitting on my tiny phone screen, usually I would take a break, but this time I couldn't. The book is that good!

I definitely recommend those who wants to read a good book, one that isn't hard to follow and one that wants a medium read... if you get what a mean? It's a series after all, and ends in a cliffhanger! Join me staring at my screen waiting/begging the author the finish the next book quicker! Considering:

a) IT'S IN JACK'S POINT OF VIEW (OMG I LOVE GUYS POINTS OF VIEWS!)
b) It's not a recollection of what happened in this book, but a continuation from the cliff hanger
c) I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!

Anyways...

HAPPY READING
