The crystal pendant he’d given her glinted around her neck. He touched it gently, feeling its warmth from her skin. Willow swallowed and reached out to trace his eyebrow with her finger. The motion was full of wonder, as if she were discovering him for the first time.
Nothing will stop us this time, Alex vowed to himself, and to her. We’re going to defeat them.

Well the book is split into 40 chapters including a prologue and epilogue! So in case you have already forgotten what had happen in the last few books your memory will return as you read through the prologue and first few chapters. The first half of the book is just whoaa! and I mean whoa! so much has happened!!
(Skip this (anything in italics) if you don't want spoilers (not much, but in case I slip))
Basically, the AK's have made it to the base and they are now recruiting others who refuses to accept the Angel's help... and from there so much has happened... You meet so many new faces and you find so much out about how they have been built into a team of over 90 people. Then you find out their surefire plan has been destroyed and you guys will alll go NOW WHAT? After it's like Alex gets this idea and goes off and everything crumbles down around you, and then Raziel goes and goes cray assassin onto the AK's and then this whole half of the book is JUST WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED!?!??!??!!?
Ok, so basically, (if you refused to read the italics) the beginning of the book is full of plotting and is crammed with action from the characters, there is some slow parts but your heart will be racing throughout most of this half of the book. You'll feel sad for Seb, and your head will be spinning over what happened to Alex... There are just to many feels.
Overall this half of the book was pretty good! I think that having to kill of so many characters is crazy, but all good books with battle scenes have to have some right?!
